P229 Elite

I purchased a P229 Elite from my local gun shop immediately after they came out. No one had ever seen an Elite before so it was priced only slightly more than the P229R (Great for me!). My 40 is much more than lethally accurate with lighter, faster loads. This gun is beautifully crafted and put together. Every part seems to have a great fit, finish and feel. This pistol is a little on the heavy side for CCW, IMO that is what the 239 is for. This is a duty pistol on steroids. The recoil is minimal with the Elite's heavy slide. This pistol is simple and easy to strip and clean. As with most SIG pistols, a round can be chambered and then safely decocked relieving the spings and ready to fire in DA. No racking the slide in an emergency situation. The value of this firearm continues to appreciate with its limited availability. In the South-East, I have only seen one other Elite in person, I have been looking for another like mine for 2 years. This shop wanted much more than it is listed for here. Not only is it a great pistol, it may be your collections gem that will be worth more than you paid for it just like mine is.
